The well-known Seyfert (and starburst) galaxy Messier 77 (NGC 1068) in Cetus, in a three-color reconstruction from BVR CCD images taken with the 1.1-meter Hall telescope at Lowell Observatory. A nonlinear intensity mapping shows detail over a wide dynamic range, including the bright starburst inner disk and star-forming regions in the outer arms.

The tremendous active galaxy M77 in the constellation of Cetus. This gorgeous image was obtained by Adam Block with the KPNO Visitor Center'sAdvanced Observating Program's Meade 16inch LX200 telescope at f/6.3 and SBIG ST8E CCD camera with color filter wheel. It is a composite of 4 CCD exposures: L, Luminance = 60 minutes, R, Red = 20 minutes, G, Green = 20 minutes, and B, Blue = 40 minutes.
