This image of the Sc spiral galaxy M99 was taken by Jack Newton in East Sooke, British Columbia. He uses a Santa Barbara Instrument Group ST 6 CCD camera at the Newtonian focus of his 25 inch f5 telescope. The image is a tri-colour composite, approximately 5 minute exposures.

Martin Germanocreated this image of Virgo Cluster spiral galaxy M99 with his self-built 14.5" f/5 Newtonian. It was exposed 90 minutes on hypered Kodak Tech Pan 2415, taken in March 1995.

Newer image of M99 by Martin Germano, taken in April, 2004. This image was taken with his 14.5" f/5 Newtonian stopped to f/6 (12"), a 115 minute exposure on hypered Tech Pan 2415. Represented is a blend created of the 2004 image and above one. - More images by Martin Germano
