Edwin Powell Hubble (November 20, 1889 - September 28, 1953)
Honors include naming the Hubble Space Telescope after him, Moon Crater Hubble (22.1N, 86.9E, 80 km diameter, in 1964), asteroid (2069) Hubble (discovered March 29, 1955 by an Indiana University team at Brooklyn Observatory, provisionally designated 1955 FT as well as 1953 VN1 on a pre-discovery and 1969 TB1, 1970 WA1 and 1975 TT3 on later independent sightings).
