Highway Review:
The Indian Nation Turnpike was fully completed in 1970. At 105 miles, it is Oklahoma's longest turnpike. It connects U.S. 70 in Hugo to McAlester and Henryetta. There are three toll plazas along the route. The toll plazas at Antlers and McAlester collect 1.50eachforcars,andthetollplazaatOK9collects1.50 each for cars, and the toll plaza at OK 9 collects 1.50eachforcars,andthetollplazaatOK9collects1.75, for a total of $4.75 to drive the entire turnpike. The highway goes through some of the most scenic territory of any limited access highway in Oklahoma.
