Okayama (133.989E 34.602N) was an industrial center in central Honshu, on the Inland Sea, producing textiles, rubber goods, and agricultural machinery. The Korakuen, a famous 18thcentury park, is located here. The population was approximately 163,000 persons in 1945.

The city was the center of a regimental district for 10 Division.

Mitsubishi Jukogyo K.K. This aircraft factory, located in the suburb of Tsurashima, had the following production schedule:
