Gagarinets [Avant Space]
Gagarinets is a Russian 3U CubeSat built by Avant Space as a technology demonstrator for a future constellation of satellites that will be used for advertising in space using 150 Watt laser diodes that can project images (such as company logos) in the night sky.
The experimental Gagarinets satellite will be used to test the ion propulsion system and possibly the laser system as well.
Gagarinets was originally planned to be launched together with the South Korean CAS500-2 satellite on a Soyuz-2-1a Fregat, but after that launch was cancelled, Gagarinets was moved to the maiden flight of the Angara-A5 Orion.
