DESCRIPTION
Detail of Eris (strife personified) from a painting depicting the judgement of Paris. Eris spies upon the goddesses Aphrodite, Hera and Athena as they compete for the golden apple of discord which she had earlier cast amongst them at the wedding of Peleus and Thetis.
