Carl XV Bernadotte, King of Sweden1

Carl XV Bernadotte, King of Sweden was born on 3 May 1826 at Stockholm, SwedenG.2 He was the son of Oskar I Bernadotte, King of Sweden and Joséphine Maximiliane Eugénie Napoléone de Beauharnais.2 He married Louise von Nassau, Princess of the Netherlands, daughter of Willem Fredrik Charles von Nassau, Prince of the Netherlands and Luise Auguste Wilhelmine Amalie Prinzessin von Preußen, on 19 June 1850 at Stockholm, SwedenG.1 He died on 19 September 1872 at age 46 at Malmö, SwedenG.1,2 He was buried at Stockholm, SwedenG.
He succeeded as the King Carl XV of Sweden on 8 July 1859.1 He succeeded as the King Carl XV of Norway on 8 July 1859.3

He died on 9 December 1987 at age 73.
He gained the title of Prince Ernst August of Hanover.1 He gained the title of HRH Prince Ernest Augustus of the United Kingdom.1 He gained the title of Herzog von Braunschweig-Lüneburg.1 He was given the name of Ernst August Georg Wilhelm Christian Ludwig Franz Joseph Nikolaus Hanover at birth.1 He abdicated as Prince of the United Kingdom on 28 March 1919 Deprived of his British titles by an Order in Council.3
