Maj.-Gen. Edward Charles Colville was born on 1 September 1905.2 He was the son of Admiral Hon. Sir Stanley Cecil James Colville and Lady Adelaide Jane Meade.3 He married Barbara Joan Denny, daughter of Edward Henry Marland Denny, on 29 September 1934.4 He died on 10 January 1982 at age 76.2
