Hugh Lewis Heber-Percy was born on 7 January 1853.1 He was the son of Algernon Charles Heber-Percy and Emily Heber.2 He married Harriet Earp, daughter of Henry S. Earp, on 10 June 1899.1 He died on 1 April 1925 at age 72.1
He gained the rank of Captain in the Shropshire Light Infantry.1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Geographical Society (F.R.G.S.)1

Gertrude Percy was born on 30 August 1814.1 She was the daughter of Rt. Rev. Hon. Hugh Percy and Mary Manners-Sutton.1 She married William Pitt Amherst, 2nd Earl Amherst of Arracan, son of William Pitt Amherst, 1st Earl Amherst of Arracan and Hon. Sarah Archer, on 12 July 1834.1 She died on 27 April 1890 at age 75 at 32 Rutland Gate, London, EnglandG.1 She was buried at Riverhead, Sevenoaks, Kent, EnglandG.1 Her will was proven (by probate) on 27 October 1890.1
After her marriage, Gertrude Percy was styled as Viscountess Holmesdale on 12 July 1834. From 12 July 1834, her married name became Amherst. After her marriage, Gertrude Percy was styled as Countess Amherst of Arracan on 13 March 1857. Her last will was dated 13 January 1890.

Lt.-Gen. Hon. Sir Henry Hugh Manvers Percy, V.C. was born on 22 August 1817.1 He was the son of George Percy, 5th Duke of Northumberland and Louisa Harcourt Stuart-Wortley.1 He died on 3 December 1877 at age 60, unmarried.1
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Ensign in the Grenadier Guards.1 He fought in the Crimean War, where he was wounded at Balaclava and Inkerman.2,1 He held the office of Aide-de-Camp to HM Queen Victoria between 1855 and 1865.1 He was awarded the Victoria Cross (V.C.) on 5 May 1857, for his actions on 5 November 1854.2 He gained the rank of Major in 1860.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for North Northumberland between 1865 and 1868.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1873.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in 1874 in the 89th Regiment.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) He was awarded the Chevalier, Legion of Honour.1 He gained the rank of General in 1877.1
