Karl Anton Friedrich Fürst von Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen was born on 20 February 1785 at Sigmaringen, Baden-Württemburg, Germany.2,3 He was the son of Anton Aloys Prinz von Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen and Amalie Prinzessin von Salm-Kyrburg.1 He married, firstly, Antoinette Marie Murat, Princesse Murat, daughter of Pierre Murat, in 1808.2 He married, secondly, Katherine Prinzessin zu Hohenlohe-Waldenburg-Schillingsfürst, daughter of Karl Albrecht Prinz zu Hohenlohe-Waldenburg-Schillingsfürst, in 1848.4 He died on 11 March 1853 at age 68 at Sigmaringen, Baden-Württemburg, Germany.1,3
He gained the title of Fürst von Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen on 17 October 1831.5
