Sophie Maria Josephine Albina Gräfin Chotek von Chotkowa und Wognin was born on 1 March 1868 at Stuttgart, Baden-Württemburg, Germany.1 She was the daughter of Bohyslaw Graf Chotek von Chotkowa und Wognin and Wilhelmina Gräfin Kinsky von Wchinitz und Tettau.1 She married Franz Ferdinand Erzherzog von Österreich, son of Karl Ludwig Joseph Maria Erzherzog von Österreich and Marie Annunciade di Borbone, Principessa di Borbone delle Due Sicilie, on 1 July 1900 at Zákupy, Czech Republic, in a morganatic marriage.1 She died on 28 June 1914 at age 46 at Sarajevo, BosniaG, assassinated along with her husband.1
She gained the title of Gräfin Chotek von Chotkowa und Wognin.1 She was created Prinzessin von Hohenberg on 1 July 1900.2 She was created Herzogin von Hohenberg on 4 October 1909.1,2
