She was the daughter of Vittorio Emanuele II di Savoia-Carignano, Re di Sardegna and Adelheid Franziska Erzherzogin von Österreich.1,2 She married Luiz I de Bragança e Saxe-Coburgo-Gotha, Rei de Portugal, son of Ferdinand II August Prinz von Sachsen-Coburg-Saalfeld and Maria da Glória de Bragança, Rainha de Portugal, on 6 October 1862 at Lisbon, PortugalG. She died on 5 July 1911 at age 63 at Stupinigi, ItalyG.
She gained the title of Principessa Maria Pia di Savoia. She gained the title of Principessa Maria Pia d'Italia.

He was the son of Luiz I de Bragança e Saxe-Coburgo-Gotha, Rei de Portugal and Maria Pia di Savoia-Carignano, Principessa di Savoia.1 He married Nevada Hayes on 26 September 1917 at Madrid, SpainG. He died on 21 February 1920 at age 54.
He gained the title of Infante de Portugal. He gained the title of Duque de Oporto.1
