Charles Alexander Somerset was born on 21 August 1901.1 He was the son of Henry Charles FitzRoy Somerset and Isabella Goodsir Mowat.1 He married, firstly, Audrey Vernon Thompson, daughter of George W. L. Thompson, on 15 June 1926.1 He married, secondly, Winifred May Helyar, daughter of Joseph Arthur Helyar and Emily Louise Perry, on 22 January 1955.1 He died in 1981.1
He was educated at Radley College, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, England G.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Artillery.1 He lived at Malt House Barn, Kingsley, Hampshire, England G.1

Audrey Vernon Thompson was the daughter of George W. L. Thompson.1 She married Charles Alexander Somerset, son of Henry Charles FitzRoy Somerset and Isabella Goodsir Mowat, on 15 June 1926.1 She died on 21 July 1935.1
From 15 June 1926, her married name became Somerset.1

Audrey Barbara Somerset usually went by her middle name of Barbara.1 From 2 October 1954, her married name became Ellingham.1 She lived in 1999 at The Old Granary, Stoneputts Manor, Seal, Kent, England G.1
