Sir George Werner Albu, 2nd Bt. was born on 3 September 1905.1 He was the son of Sir George Albu, 1st Bt. and Gertrude Frederike Alice Rosendorff.1 He married, firstly, Kathleen Betty Dicey, daughter of Edward Charles Dicey, on 20 October 1928.1 He married, secondly, Elsie Violet (?) in 1956.1 He died on 18 February 1963 at age 57.1
He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, EnglandG.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Albu, of Johannesburg, Transvaal, South Africa [U.K., 1912] on 27 December 1935.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Major in the South African Forces.1 He was chairman of the General Mining and Finance Corporation, Johannesburg.1
