Janet Pitcairn1

Janet Pitcairn was born on 7 June 1699 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.2 She was the daughter of Dr. Archibald Pitcairn and Elizabeth Stevenson.1,2 She married Alexander Erskine, 5th Earl of Kellie, son of Alexander Erskine, 4th Earl of Kellie and Lady Anne Lindsay, in October 1731.1,3 She died on 7 June 1775 at age 76.2
From October 1731, her married name became Erskine.1 After her marriage, Janet Pitcairn was styled as Countess of Kellie in October 1731.

Robert Patton was born on 14 April 1743 at Anstruther Easter, Fife, Scotland.2 He was baptised on 20 April 1743 at Anstruther Easter, Fife, Scotland.2 He married Constantia Adelina Sally Mapletoft on 31 July 1772 at Calcutta, India.2 He died on 14 January 1812 at age 68 at Wallington, Hampshire, England.2
He gained the rank of Ensign on 21 May 1766.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant on 18 June 1767.2 He was Military Secretary to John Cartier, Governor of Fort William between 1770 and 1772.2 He gained the rank of Captain on 4 July 1771.2 He was Aide-de-Camp to Warren Hastings, Governor of Bengal on 13 April 1772.2 He held the office of Governor of St. Helena between March 1802 and July 1807.1 He was Colonel of the Artillery of Jamestown, St. Helena in 1807.2
