Percy Armytage was born on 8 March 1853.1 He was the son of Colonel Henry Armytage and Hon. Fenella FitzHardinge Berkeley.1 He married Rosetta Philippa Cameron, daughter of Colonel Nathaniel Cameron, on 25 April 1888.1 He was also reported to have been married on 14 February 1888.2 He died on 4 June 1934 at age 81.1
He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.) in 1902 5th class.1 He held the office of Gentleman Usher between 1903 and 1910, to HM King Edward VII.1 He held the office of Gentleman Usher between 1910 and 1927, to HM King George V.1 He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.) in 1911 4th class.1 He was appointed Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) in 1920.1 He held the office of Extra Gentleman Usher in 1927, to HM King George V.1 He was appointed Officer, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (O.St.J.)1
