Sir Thomas Leigh1

Sir Thomas Leigh was born in 1509.2,3 He was the son of Roger Leigh and Alice Trafford.4,3 He married Alice Barker, daughter of John Barker, before 13 March 1536.2 He died on 17 November 1571.2
He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Shropshire in 1536.2 He was a merchant of the Staple (a restrictive trade group dealing in wool.)2 He held the office of Alderman of London in 1552.2 He held the office of Sheriff of London in 1555.2 He was appointed Knight in 1558.2 He held the office of Lord Mayor of London in 1558.2

Sir John Leigh1

Sir John Leigh was the son of Sir Thomas Leigh, 1st Bt. and Katherine Spencer.1,2 He married, firstly, Ursula Hoddesdon, daughter of Sir Christopher Hoddesdon, in 1588.3 He married, secondly, Anna Cope, daughter of Sir Anthony Cope, 1st Bt. and Frances Lytton, on 5 December 1599.3,4 He died in 1625.3,4
He was appointed Knight in 1603.4

Alice Barker1

Alice Barker was the daughter of John Barker.1 She married Sir Thomas Leigh, son of Roger Leigh and Alice Trafford, before 13 March 1536.2 She died in 1603.2
From before 13 March 1536, her married name became Leigh.1

William Fellowes1
