Sir William Valentine Ball was born on 10 February 1874.1 He was the son of Sir Robert Stawell Ball and Frances Elizabeth Steele.1 He married Kathleen Mary Butt, daughter of George Butt, on 9 October 1903.1 He died on 25 November 1960 at age 86, without issue.1
He was educated at Royal Academy, Armagh, County Armagh, Ireland G.1 He was educated at Tonbridge School, Tonbridge, Kent, England G.1 He was educated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland G.1 He graduated from King's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England G, in 1895 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was admitted to Lincoln's Inn in 1897 entitled to practise as a Barrister-at-Law.1 He graduated from King's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England G, in 1898 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He fought in the First World War, in the Anti-Aircraft Corps.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1918.1 He held the office of Examiner of the Court in 1919.1 He held the office of Master of the Supreme Court between 1921 and 1944.1 He held the office of Senior Master and Remembrancer of the King's Court between 1944 and 1947.1 He held the office of a Bencher of Lincoln's Inn in 1945.1 He was appointed Knight in 1946.1 He was admitted to Master of the Clockmakers' Company in 1953.1

Kathleen Mary Butt was the daughter of George Butt.1 She married Sir William Valentine Ball, son of Sir Robert Stawell Ball and Frances Elizabeth Steele, on 9 October 1903.1 She died on 30 April 1957.1
From 9 October 1903, her married name became Ball.1

Charles Rowan Hamilton Ball was born on 24 June 1876.1 He was the son of Sir Robert Stawell Ball and Frances Elizabeth Steele.1 He married Anne Josephine Cowie, daughter of George Cowie, on 30 September 1907.1 He died on 9 March 1964 at age 87.1
He was registered as a Member, Royal College of Surgeons (M.R.C.S.) in 1901.1

Anne Josephine Cowie was the daughter of George Cowie.1 She married Charles Rowan Hamilton Ball, son of Sir Robert Stawell Ball and Frances Elizabeth Steele, on 30 September 1907.1 She died on 25 October 1965.1
From 30 September 1907, her married name became Ball.1

Peter Halley Ball was born on 25 January 1910.1 He was the son of Charles Rowan Hamilton Ball and Anne Josephine Cowie.1 He married Mary Le Geyt Pearson, daughter of James Rae Pearson, on 9 March 1937.1 He died in December 2002 at age 92 at Salisbury, Wiltshire, England.2
He was educated at Haileybury College, Haileybury, Hertfordshire, England G.1 He was educated at Pembroke College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England G.1 He was registered as a Licentiate, Royal College of Physicians, London (L.R.C.P.)1 He was registered as a Member, Royal College of Surgeons (M.R.C.S.)1 He graduated with a Diploma in Opthalmic Medicine and Surgery (D.O.M.S.)1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Army Medical Corps.1 He fought in the Second World War.1
