Sir Hugh Douglas Blackett, 8th Bt. was born on 24 March 1873.1 He was the son of Colonel Sir Edward William Blackett, 7th Bt. and Hon. Julia Frances Somerville.1 He married Helen Katharine Lowther, daughter of George William Lowther and Mary Frances Alice Bingham, on 5 February 1903.1 He died on 13 November 1960 at age 87.1
He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Blackett, of Newcastle, co. Northumberland [E., 1673] on 13 September 1909.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Northumberland Yeomanry.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Northumberland in 1914.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Northumberland.1

Major Sir Charles Douglas Blackett, 9th Bt. was born on 15 August 1904.1 He was the son of Sir Hugh Douglas Blackett, 8th Bt. and Helen Katharine Lowther.1 He married Ursula Mary Cely Trevilian, daughter of Major Maurice Fearing Cely Trevilian and Mary Susanna F. Imbert Athill, on 28 September 1935.1 He died on 26 December 1968 at age 64.1
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated in 1924 at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1942, when he became a POW.1 He gained the rank of Major in the The Queen's Bays.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Northumberland in 1953.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Northumberland in 1953.1 He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Blackett, of Newcastle, co. Northumberland [E., 1673] on 13 November 1960.1

Sir George William Blackett, 10th Bt. was born on 26 April 1906.1 He was the son of Sir Hugh Douglas Blackett, 8th Bt. and Helen Katharine Lowther.1 He married, firstly, Euphemia Cicely Robinson, daughter of Major Nicholas Robinson, on 26 July 1933.1 He married, secondly, Daphne Laing Bradley, daughter of Major Guy Laing Bradley, on 5 November 1964.1 He died on 22 January 1994 at age 87, without issue.1,2
He fought in the Second World War, in the Corps of Military Police.1 He succeeded as the 10th Baronet Blackett, of Newcastle, co. Northumberland [E., 1673] on 26 December 1968.1
