Robert John Carrington, 2nd Baron Carrington of Upton1

Robert John Carrington, 2nd Baron Carrington of Upton was born on 16 January 1796.2 He was the son of Robert Smith, 1st Baron Carrington of Upton and Anne Boldero-Barnard.3 He married, firstly, Hon. Elizabeth Katherine Weld Forester, daughter of Cecil Weld Forester, 1st Baron Forester of Willey Park and Lady Katherine Mary Manners, on 17 June 1822 at Lambeth Palace, Lambeth, London, EnglandG.1,4 He married, secondly, Hon. Charlotte Augusta Annabella Drummond-Willoughby, daughter of Peter Robert Drummond-Burrell, 22nd Lord Willoughby de Eresby and Lady Sarah Clementina Drummond, on 10 August 1840 at St. George's Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, EnglandG.1,4 He died on 17 March 1868 at age 72 at Whitehall Yard, Whitehall, London, EnglandG.1,4 He was buried on 25 March 1868 at Moulsoe, Buckinghamshire, EnglandG.4 His will was proven (by probate) on 13 July 1868, at under £70,000.4
He was given the name of Robert John Smith at birth.1 He was educated between 1805 and 1811 at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.5 He graduated from Christ's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1815 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Wendover between 1818 and 1820.1 He was Colonel of the Royal Buckinghamshire Militia.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Buckinghamshire between 1820 and 1821.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for High Wycombe between 1831 and 1838.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Carrington of Bulcot Lodge [I., 1796] on 18 September 1838.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Carrington of Upton, co. Notts [G.B., 1797] on 18 September 1838.1 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire between 1839 and 1868.1,2 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.) on 14 February 1839.2 On 26 August 1839 his name was legally changed to Robert John Carrington by Royal Licence.6

Sir William Anson, 1st Bt. was born on 13 August 1772.1 He was the son of George Anson and Hon. Mary Venables-Vernon.1 He married Louisa Frances Mary Dickenson, daughter of John Dickenson and Mary Hamilton, on 26 January 1815.1 He died on 14 January 1847 at age 74.1
He fought in the Peninsular Wars.1 He was created 1st Baronet Anson, of Hatch Beauchamp, co. Devon [U.K.] on 30 September 1831.1
