Sir George Bowyer, 2nd/6th Bt. was born on 3 March 1783 at Radley House, Radley, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was the son of Admiral Sir George Bowyer, 1st/5th Bt. and Henrietta Brett.1 He married Anne Hammond Douglas, daughter of Captain Sir Andrew Snape Douglas and Anne Burgess, on 19 November 1808.2 He died on 1 July 1860 at age 77 at Dresden, Sachsen, GermanyG.2
He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Bowyer, of Radley, co. Berks [G.B., 1794] on 6 December 1799.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Bowyer, of Denham, co. Bucks [E., 1660] on 6 December 1799.1 He matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 17 January 1801.1 He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1804 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1807 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Malmesbury between 1807 and 1810.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Abingdon between June 1811 and 1818.1 He disposed of Radley House, to the trustees of St. Peter's College, Radley.1

Anne Hammond Douglas was the daughter of Captain Sir Andrew Snape Douglas and Anne Burgess.1 She married Sir George Bowyer, 2nd/6th Bt., son of Admiral Sir George Bowyer, 1st/5th Bt. and Henrietta Brett, on 19 November 1808.1 She died in 1844.1
From 19 November 1808, her married name became Bowyer.1
