Major Ulick Edmund Burke-Roche was born on 26 September 1906.2 He was the son of Hon. Ulick de Rupe Burke Roche and Dorothea Blanche Jones.1,2 He married Primrose Eda Buchan-Hepburn, daughter of Sir John Karslake Thomas Buchan-Hepburn of Smeaton Hepburn, 5th Bt. and Jessie Lawrence Smith, on 27 October 1949.1 He died on 20 October 1990 at age 84 at Penrhyndeudraeth, Gwynedd, Wales.1,3
He was educated at Repton School, Repton, Derbyshire, EnglandG.2 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.2 He fought in the Second World War.2 He retired from the military in 1947, with the rank of Major, late of the South Wales Borderers.1

Frances, Viscountess Purbeck

Frances Coke was born in 1601.2 She was the daughter of Sir Edward Coke and Lady Elizabeth Cecil.1,3 She married John Villiers, 1st Viscount Purbeck, son of Sir George Villiers and Mary Beaumont, Countess of Buckingham, on 29 September 1617.1 She died on 4 June 1645 at Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.3
From 29 September 1617, her married name became Villiers.1 After her marriage, Frances Coke was styled as Viscountess Purbeck on 19 July 1619.1 She and Sir Robert Howard were associated circa 1621.4 In 1621 she ran away from her husband, and had a son.4 On 19 November 1627 she was found guilty of adultery by the High Court, and was sentenced to stand in the Savoy Church dressed in a white sheet holding a white wand, and fined £333.16s.6d.4 In 1635 she was imprisoned in the Gate House, London, and managed to flee to France via the Channel Islands dressed as a man.4
