Alfred Basil Loder was born on 25 March 1855 at London, England.1,2 He was the son of Sir Robert Loder, 1st Bt. and Maria Georgiana Busk.3 He married, firstly, Annie Katherine Crosse, daughter of Reverend Charles Henry Crosse, on 9 August 1882.1 He married, secondly, Henrietta Mabel Poynter, daughter of Lt.-Col. James Poynter and Jessie Catherine Mackinnon, on 17 October 1894.1 He died on 17 April 1905 at age 50.1

Michael Edward Oliver Lambart, 12th Earl of the County of Cavan was born on 29 October 1911.1 He was the son of Venerable Horace Edward Samuel Sneade Lambart, 11th Earl of the County of Cavan and Audrey Kathleen Loder.3 He married Essex Lucy Cholmondeley, daughter of Henry Arthur Cholmondeley and Helen Mary Wrigley, on 10 April 1947.1 He died on 17 November 1988 at age 77, without male issue.4
He was educated at Radley College, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.) in 1950.1 He succeeded as the 12th Earl of the County of Cavan [I., 1647] on 9 December 1950.1 He succeeded as the 13th Lord Lambart, Baron of Cavan, co. Cavan [I., 1618] on 9 December 1950.1 He succeeded as the 12th Viscount Kilcoursie, in the King's County [I., 1647] on 9 December 1950.1 He was commanding officer of the Shropshire Yeomanry between 1955 and 1958.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Shropshire in 1959.1 He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in 1974 in the Queen's Own Mercian Yeomanry.1 He held the office of Vice-Lord-Lieutenant of Shropshire in 1975.1
