Sidney Herbert Elphinstone, 16th Lord Elphinstone was born on 27 July 1869.1 He was the son of William Buller Fullerton-Elphinstone, 15th Lord Elphinstone and Lady Constance Euphemia Woronzow Murray.2 He married Lady Mary Frances Bowes-Lyon, daughter of Claude George Bowes-Lyon, 14th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne and Nina Cecilie Cavendish-Bentinck, on 14 July 1910.1 He died on 28 November 1955 at age 86.1
He was given the name of Sidney Herbert Fullerton-Elphinestone at birth.1 Sidney Herbert Elphinstone, 16th Lord Elphinstone title's name changed to Sidney Herbert Elphinstone.1 He succeeded as the 16th Lord Elphinstone [S., 1510] on 18 January 1893.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Elphinstone, of Elphinstone, co. Vice-Admiral William Spencer Leveson-Gower, 4th Earl Granville was born on 11 July 1880.1 He was the son of Granville George Leveson-Gower, 2nd Earl Granville and Castila Rosalind Campbell.1 He married Lady Rose Constance Bowes-Lyon, daughter of Claude George Bowes-Lyon, 14th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne and Nina Cecilie Cavendish-Bentinck, on 24 May 1916 at St. James's, Piccadilly, London, EnglandG.1 He died on 25 June 1953 at age 72.1
