Arthur Henry Carleton, 2nd Baron Dorchester1

Arthur Henry Carleton, 2nd Baron Dorchester was born in 1805.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Hon. Christopher Carleton and Priscilla Martha Belford.1 He died in 1826, unmarried.1
He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Dorchester, of Dorchester, co. Oxford [G.B., 1786] on 10 November 1808.1

Henrietta King1

Henrietta King was baptised in March 1780 at St. Clement Danes, London, England.2 She was the daughter of Edward King and Henrietta Lang.1,3 She married, firstly, Lt.-Col. Hon. George Carleton, son of General Guy Carleton, 1st Baron Dorchester and Lady Maria Howard, on 19 September 1805 at Askham, Yorkshire, England.1 She married, secondly, Rear-Admiral James McNamara on 23 January 1818.4 She died on 30 December 1855 at age 75.4
From 19 September 1805, her married name became Carleton.1 From 23 January 1818, her married name became McNamara.4

Edward King1

Edward King was baptised on 15 June 1753 at Clitheroe, Lancashire, England.2 He was the son of Reverend James King and Anne Walker.2 He married, firstly, Henrietta Lang, daughter of Robert Lang and Henrietta Fleetwood, on 2 March 1777 at Sefton, Lancashire, England.3 He married, secondly, Dorothea Myers, daughter of John Myers and Alice Bolton, on 11 October 1798 at Croston, Lancashire, England.2 He died on 2 November 1824 at age 71 at Kirkham, Lancashire, England.2
He lived at Askham Hall, Westmorland, EnglandG.1 He was Vice-Chancellor of the County Palatine of Lancaster.2

Anne Wauchope1

Anne Wauchope was the daughter of Thomas W. J. Wauchope.1 She married Guy Carleton, 3rd Baron Dorchester, son of Lt.-Col. Hon. George Carleton and Henrietta King, in 1837.1 She died in 1861.2
From 1837, her married name became Carleton.1

Henrietta Anne Carleton, Baroness Dorchester1

Henrietta Anne Carleton, Baroness Dorchester was born on 25 May 1846.2 She was the daughter of Guy Carleton, 3rd Baron Dorchester and Anne Wauchope.1 She married, firstly, Francis Paynton Pigott, son of Francis Pigott, on 14 June 1864.1,2 She married, secondly, Maj.-Gen. Richard Langford Leir in 1887.3 She died on 2 March 1925 at age 78.3
From 14 June 1864, her married name became Pigott.1 From 1887, her married name became Leir.3 In 1899 her name was legally changed to Henrietta Anne Carleton by Royal Licence.3 She was created 1st Baroness Dorchester, of Dorchester, co. Oxford [U.K.] on 2 August 1899.1
