Naomi May Margaret Haldane was born circa 1898.3 She was the daughter of John Scott Haldane and Louisa Kathleen Trotter.1,4 She married Gilbert Richard Mitchison, Baron Mitchison, son of Arthur Maw Mitchison and Mary Emmeline Russell, on 11 February 1916.1 She died on 11 January 1999.3
From 11 February 1916, her married name became Mitchison.1 After her marriage, Naomi May Margaret Haldane was styled as Baroness Mitchison on 5 October 1964. She was an author of over 50 books.3 She was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)3
