Major Hugh Carruthers Massy was born on 25 October 1914 at Hordle, Hampshire, England.1,2 He was the son of Lt.-Cdr. Hugh Hamon George William Carruthers Massy and Anne Emma Fetherstonhaugh Thompson.3 He married Pamela Drew, daughter of John Malcolm Drew and Edith Sylvia Peart Robinson, on 27 May 1961.1 He died on 17 September 1987 at age 72 at Lancaster, Lancashire, England.1,2
He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Major in the 4th/7th Royal Dragoon Guards.1 He fought in the Kenya Emergency between 1953 and 1955.1 He was with the Kenya Game Department between 1955 and 1959.1

Pamela Drew was born on 11 September 1910.2 She was the daughter of John Malcolm Drew and Edith Sylvia Peart Robinson.3,4 She married, firstly, William Robert McClintock-Bunbury, 4th Baron Rathdonnell, son of Thomas Leopold McClintock-Bunbury, 3rd Baron Rathdonnell and Ethel Synge Ievers, on 25 November 1937.3 She married, secondly, Major Hugh Carruthers Massy, son of Lt.-Cdr. Hugh Hamon George William Carruthers Massy and Anne Emma Fetherstonhaugh Thompson, on 27 May 1961.1 She died on 11 June 1989 at age 78.1,2
An artist.3 After her marriage, Pamela Drew was styled as Baroness Rathdonnell on 25 November 1937. From 25 November 1937, her married name became McClintock-Bunbury. She gained the rank of Acting 3rd Officer in the Women's Royal Naval Service.3 From 27 May 1961, her married name became Massy.

Rollo Dillon Dunham Massy was born on 16 June 1856.1 He was the son of Hugh Hamon John Massy and Annie Margaret Evans.2 He married Emma Inman, daughter of James Inman, on 22 November 1884.1 He died on 1 April 1934 at age 77.1
He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Hampshire.1
