Captain Philip Clayton Alcock was born on 26 June 1861.2 He was the son of Colonel Philip Savage Alcock and Katherine Annette Browne-Clayton.3 He married Kathleen Robinson, daughter of Thomas Robinson, on 2 December 1914.2 He died on 6 January 1949 at age 87.2
He was educated at Uppingham School, Uppingham, Rutland, EnglandG.2 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the Gloucestershire Regiment.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Wexford in 1898.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Wexford in 1900.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County Wexford in 1910.2 He lived at Wilton Castle, Wilton, County Wexford, IrelandG, which was destroyed by fire on 5 March 1923.2 He lived at Overton Lodge, Ludlow, Shropshire, EnglandG.2

Emily Victorine Elizabeth Rumbold was born on 13 October 1824.2 She was the daughter of Sir William Rumbold, 3rd Bt. and Hon. Henrietta Elizabeth Parkyns.1,2 She married, firstly, George Henry Cavendish, son of General Hon. Henry Frederick Compton Cavendish and Frances Susan Lambton, on 16 October 1848.2 She and George Henry Cavendish were divorced in 1866.2 She married, secondly, Comte Gaston de la Rochefoucauld on 20 August 1870.2 She died on 11 September 1904 at age 79.1
From 16 October 1848, her married name became Cavendish.1 From 20 August 1870, her married name became de la Rochefoucauld.2
