Sir Eric Charles William Mackenzie Penn was born on 9 February 1916.3 He was the son of Captain Eric Frank Penn and Gladys Ebden.3 He married Prudence Stewart-Wilson, daughter of Aubyn Harold Raymond Wilson and Muriel Athelstan Hood Stewart-Stevens, 10th of Balnakeilly, in 1947.3 He died on 12 May 1993 at age 77.4
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.3 He was educated at Magdalene College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG.3 He gained the rank of officer in 1938 in the Grenadier Guards.3 He fought in the Second World War.3 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1944.3 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1960.3 He was Assistant Comptroller of the Lord Chamberlain's Office between 1960 and 1964.3 He held the office of Extra Equerry to HM Queen Elizabeth II in 1963.3 He was Comptroller of the Lord Chamberlain's Office between 1964 and 1981.3 He was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.) in 1972.3 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Royal Victorian Order (G.C.V.O.) in 1980.3 He lived in 1984 at Sternfield House, Saxmundham, Suffolk, EnglandG.3

Frederick William Lawrence Shepperd Hart Cavendish and Enid Maude Lindeman.1 She married, firstly, Frank Thomas O'Neill on 30 September 1950.1 She and Frank Thomas O'Neill were divorced in 1954.1 She married, secondly, Count Aymon de Roussy de Sales, son of Count Raoul Roussy de Sales and Reine Marie Tracy, on 1 July 1957.1 She and Count Aymon de Roussy de Sales were divorced before 1969.2 She married, thirdly, Frank Thomas O'Neill in 1969.1 She died on 11 June 2019 at age 93.3
From 30 September 1950, her married name became O'Neill.1 From 1 July 1957, her married name became Roussy de Sales.1 From 1969, her married name became O'Neill.1 She lived in 2003 at Broadlands Stud, Somerset West, Cape Province, South AfricaG.1
