Henry George Ancketill was born on 5 January 1911.1 He was the son of Henry Ancketill and Oona Reeson.1 He married, firstly, Doreen Phyllis Gunstone in November 1936.1 He and Doreen Phyllis Gunstone were divorced in 1944.1 He married, secondly, Barbara Mary Andrews, daughter of John Edwin Andrews, on 16 September 1944.1 He died in 1981 at Lambeth, London, England.2
He was educated at South African College School, Cape Town, Cape Province, South AfricaG.1 He served in the Second World War.1 He was a practitioner in metaphysics and spiritual healing.1 He was in the motor business, formerly in theatre, films and insurance.1 As of 1976, Henry George Ancketill lived at 60 Sydenham Road, Croydon, Surrey, EnglandG.1

Doreen Phyllis Gunstone married Henry George Ancketill, son of Henry Ancketill and Oona Reeson, in November 1936.1 She and Henry George Ancketill were divorced in 1944.1 She died on 27 November 1971, killed in a road accident.1
From November 1936, her married name became Ancketill.1 She wrote the book _Through Dooms of Love, as Dorothy Burnham. The book won the Richard Hillary Prize.1 Doreen Phyllis Gunstone used the pen-name of Dorothy Burnham.1
