Oliver St. John, 1st Baron Saint John of Bletso1

Oliver St. John, 1st Baron Saint John of Bletso was born in 1516.2 He was the son of Sir John St. John and Margaret Waldegrave.1,3 He married, firstly, Agnes Fisher, daughter of Sir John Fisher and Anne Mordaunt, before 8 February 1542/43.1 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Chamber, daughter of Geoffrey Chamber, before 28 August 1572.1 He died before 23 May 1582.1
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bedfordshire between 1547 and 1552.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire in 1551.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Bedfordshire in February 1553/54.1 He was created 1st Baron Saint John of Bletso, co. Bedford [England] on 13 January 1558/59.4 He was Lieutenant in Bedfordshire for resistance for the Northern Rebellion in 1569.1

Jane Sibella Morrison1

Jane Sibella Morrison was the daughter of Sir Richard Morrison and Bridget Hussey.1 She married, firstly, Edward Russell, Lord Russell, son of Francis Russell, 2nd Earl of Bedford and Margaret St. John, circa 1571.1 She married, secondly, Arthur Grey, 14th Baron Grey (of Wilton), son of William Grey, 13th Baron Grey (of Wilton) and Lady Mary Somerset, after 1572.1 She died in July 1615.2 Her will was proven (by probate) on 14 July 1615.2
Her married name became Russell. From after 1572, her married name became Grey.1 She was naturalized as a English subject in 1575/76.1 Her last will was dated 6 March 1614/15.

Sir Francis Russell, Lord Russell1

Sir Francis Russell, Lord Russell was the son of Francis Russell, 2nd Earl of Bedford and Margaret St. John.1 He married Juliana Foster, daughter of Sir John Foster, on 15 April 1571.2 He died on 27 July 1585, mortally wounded in a fray on the Scottish border.2 He was buried at Alnwick, Northumberland, EnglandG.2 He died intestate and his estate was administered on 14 September 1585.2
He was appointed Knight in 1570 for services in Scotland, by the Earl of Sussex.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Northumberland between 1572 and 1584.2 He was styled as Lord Russell from 1584 to 1585.1

Edward Russell, 3rd Earl of Bedford1

Edward Russell, 3rd Earl of Bedford was born on 20 December 1572.2 He was the son of Sir Francis Russell, Lord Russell and Juliana Foster.1 He married Hon. Lucy Harington, daughter of John Harington, 1st Baron Haryngton of Exton and Ann Kelway, on 12 December 1594 at Stepney, London, EnglandG, bringing him £10,000 and the estate of Minster Lovel.2 He died on 3 May 1627 at age 54 at Moor Park, Hertfordshire, EnglandG, without surviving issue.2 He was buried on 11 May 1627 at Chenies, Buckinghamshire, EnglandG.2 He died intestate and his estate was administered to his widow on 8 May 1627.2
He succeeded as the 3rd Earl of Bedford [E., 1550] on 28 July 1585.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baron Russell [E., 1539] on 28 July 1585.1 In February 1600/1 he engaged in the insurrection of the Earl of Essex, was fined £10,000 and was briefly imprisoned.2 He held the office of Custos Rotulorum of Devon between 1603 and 1619.2

She was the daughter of John Harington, 1st Baron Haryngton of Exton and Ann Kelway.1 She married Edward Russell, 3rd Earl of Bedford, son of Sir Francis Russell, Lord Russell and Juliana Foster, on 12 December 1594 at Stepney, London, EnglandG, bringing him £10,000 and the estate of Minster Lovel.1 She died on 26 May 1627 at Moor Park, Hertfordshire, EnglandG.1 She was buried at Exton, Rutland, EnglandG.1 She died intestate and her estate was administered on 4 July 1627.1
From 12 December 1594, her married name became Russell. After her marriage, Hon. Lucy Harington was styled as Countess of Bedford on 12 December 1594. She was a patroness of literature.1
