Venerable Richard Mervyn Cole-Hamilton was born on 14 December 1877.1 He was the son of Reverend Arthur Henry Cole-Hamilton and Harriet Elizabeth Tisdall. He married, firstly, Margaret Bennett, daughter of Edmund Grove Bennett, on 12 October 1911.1 He married, secondly, Elsie Irene Pendlebury, daughter of William Henry Pendlebury, on 12 July 1955.2 He died on 5 September 1959 at age 81.2
