Matthew Fortescue, 2nd Baron Fortescue of Castle Hill was born on 31 March 1719.1 He was the son of Hugh Fortescue and Hon. Lucy Aylmer.2 He married Anne Campbell, daughter of John Campbell of Cawdor and Mary Pryse, on 8 July 1752.2 He died on 10 July 1785 at age 66.2
He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Fortescue of Castle Hill, co. Devon [G.B., 1746] on 3 May 1751.1

Anne Campbell was the daughter of John Campbell of Cawdor and Mary Pryse.3 She married Matthew Fortescue, 2nd Baron Fortescue of Castle Hill, son of Hugh Fortescue and Hon. Lucy Aylmer, on 8 July 1752.1 She died on 26 May 1812.3
After her marriage, Anne Campbell was styled as Baroness Fortescue of Castle Hill on 8 July 1752. From 8 July 1752, her married name became Fortescue.

Sir Gilbert John Acland-Troyte was born on 4 September 1876.1 He was the son of Colonel Charles Arthur William Troyte and Katherine Mary Walrond.1 He married Gwladys Eleanor Quicke, daughter of Ernest Henry Godolphin Quicke, on 12 October 1909.1 He died on 27 April 1964 at age 87, without issue.1
