Sophia Campbell was born in 1743.3 She was the daughter of Samuel Campbell and Mary Upton.1,3 She married Edward Southwell, 20th Lord Clifford, son of Edward Southwell and Hon. Catherine Watson, on 29 August 1765 at St. George's Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, England G.4 She died on 3 August 1828 at South Audley Street, London, England G.4 She was buried on 14 August 1828 at Henbury, Gloucestershire, England G.4 Her will (dated 6 March 1824 to 3 May 1825) was proven (by probate) on 30 October 1828.4
Her married name became Southwell. She was Governess to the Princess Charlotte of Wales.4

From 29 September 1831, her married name became MacNab.1
