Robert Cecil Cochrane1

Robert Cecil Cochrane was born on 11 May 1871.1 He was the son of John Cochrane and Martha Little.2 He married Lily Holmes Tennant, daughter of Oliver Tennant, in 1903.1 He died on 23 October 1925 at age 54.1
He was joined the Army Veterinary Department in 1898.1 He fought in the Boer War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was seconded to Civil Administration, Transvaal Government in 1903.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (F.R.C.V.S.)1 He retired from the military in 1925, with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel, late of the Royal Army Veterinary Corps.1
