John Blake Dillon1

John Blake Dillon was born in 1816.1 He was the son of Luke Dillon and Anne Blake.2 He married Adelaide Hart, daughter of William Hart.1 He died on 15 September 1866, from cholera.1
He was educated at MaynoothG.1 He was educated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG.1 He was joint founder (with Thomas Davis and Charles Gavan Duffy) of The Nation in 1841.1 He was admitted to King's Inns in 1841 entitled to practise as a Barrister-at-Law.1 He was a journalist on the Morning Register.1 He was a prominent member of the Repeal Party and Young Ireland Party.1 In 1848 he led rebels at Mullinahone and Killenance during the insurrection (afterwards fleeing to France and USA with £300 price on his head.)1 He was a practising Barrister at New York City, New York, U.S.A.G.1 In 1855 he returned to Dublin after the amnesty.1 He was joint founder (with Martin and The O'Donoghue) and Secretary of the National Association.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Tipperary in 1865.1 He lived in 2003.1
