Nicholas FitzMaurice Fagan1

Nicholas FitzMaurice Fagan was born on 17 March 1760.1 He was the son of Patrick Fagan and Christiana Fitzmaurice.2 He married Mary Seton Walsh, daughter of John Walsh and Catherine de Bruce Seton, on 4 June 1797.1 He died on 1 November 1810 at age 50, killed in a hunting field.1
He was by Jesuits at FranceG.1 He gained the rank of Captain between 1780 and 1787 in the Regiment de Dillon, Irish Brigade of France.1 In 1787 he resigned to study architecture.1 He emigrated to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.G, arriving on 1795 in the ship Glasgow via the West Indies.1 In 1801 he built St. Augustine's Catholic Church in Philadelphia.1 He lived at Feltrim House, Killarney, County Kerry, IrelandG.1

John Francis Fagan1

John Francis Fagan was born on 28 December 1799.1 He was the son of Nicholas FitzMaurice Fagan and Mary Seton Walsh.2,1 He married, firstly, Mary Armstrong, daughter of John Armstrong and Frances Dusenbury, on 21 June 1833.1 He married, secondly, Emily Rogers Estell, daughter of Job Estell and Rhoda Rogers, on 16 November 1837.1 He died on 3 December 1872 at age 72.1
He went to sea as boy in vessels belonging to his maternal grandfather.1 At Syracuse, Onondaga County, New York, U.S.A.G, He owned and edited the Onondaga Register.1 At Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.G, He organised a stereotype foundry under the name of J. Fagan and Son.1 He lived at Feltrim House, Penn Square, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.G.1

Mary Armstrong was the daughter of John Armstrong and Frances Dusenbury.2,1 She married John Francis Fagan, son of Nicholas FitzMaurice Fagan and Mary Seton Walsh, on 21 June 1833.1 She died on 14 February 1836.1
From 21 June 1833, her married name became Fagan.
