Vice-Admiral Sir Raymond Fitzmaurice1

Vice-Admiral Sir Raymond Fitzmaurice was born on 7 August 1878.1 He was the son of John Gerald Fitzmaurice and Florence Augusta Marian Boyrenson.2 He married, firstly, Evelyn Mary Threlfall, daughter of Charles Threlfall, on 31 January 1912.1 He married, secondly, Beatrice Mary Bosanquet, daughter of Admiral Sir Day Hort Bosanquet and Mary Butt, on 23 October 1919.1 He died on 25 October 1943 at age 65.1
He fought in the First World War.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1916.1 He was Assistant Director of Naval Intelligence between 1918 and 1919.1 He was Director of the Signal Department, Admiralty between 1923 and 1925.1 He was Vice-President of the Chemical Warfare Committee between 1927 and 1929.1 He retired from the military in 1929, with the rank of Vice-Admiral.1 He held the office of Naval Aide-de-Camp to HM King George V in 1929.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.) in 1942.1

Admiral Sir Day Hort Bosanquet1

Admiral Sir Day Hort Bosanquet was born on 22 March 1843 at Rock, Northumberland, England.2,3 He was the son of Reverend Robert William Bosanquet and Caroline Macdowall.2,4 He married Mary Butt, daughter of Lt.-Col. Thomas Bromhead Butt and Geraldine May Sewell, on 1 February 1881 at St. Paul's, Upper Norwood, Croydon, Surrey, England.3 He died on 28 June 1923 at age 80 at THe Old Vicarage, Newbury, Berkshire, England.3
He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Royal Victorian Order (G.C.V.O.)1 He lived at Brom-y-clos, Herefordshire, EnglandG.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of St. Michael and St. George (G.C.M.G.)1 He was commissioned in 1857 with the rank of officer, in the service of the Royal Navy.2 He was Commander-in-Chief of the East Indies Station in 1899.2 He was Commander-in-Chief of the North America and West Indies Station in 1904.2 He was Commander-in-Chief of the Portsmouth in 1907.2 He held the office of Governor of South Australia between 18 February 1909 and 22 March 1914.2
