Lionel Sherbrooke Osmaston was born on 20 October 1870.2 He was the son of John Osmaston and Florence Mary Rice.3 He married Selina Fanny Plumptre, daughter of John Bridges Plumptre and Elizabeth Wright, on 26 February 1897.1 He died on 29 March 1969 at age 98.1
