Henry John Alexander Makdougall Scott, 11th of Gala was born on 6 February 1901.1 He was the son of Hugh James Elibank Scott-Makdougall of Makerstoun and Agnes Jenkinson.2 He died on 26 May 1940 at age 39 at Calais, FranceG, killed in action.1
He was given the name of Henry John Alexander Scott-Makdougall at birth.1 He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Captain in 1930 in the 60th Rifles, King's Royal Rifle Corps.1 On 2 April 1935 his name was legally changed to Henry John Alexander Makdougall Scott.1 He was recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Court on 2 April 1935.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Selkirkshire.1

Sir George Henry James Duckworth-King, 6th Bt. was born on 8 June 1891.2 He was the son of Sir Dudley Gordon Alan Duckworth-King, 5th Bt. and Eva Mary Gore.3,2 He married Barbara Madalen Jean Makdougall Scott-Makdougall, daughter of Hugh James Elibank Scott-Makdougall of Makerstoun and Agnes Jenkinson, on 28 January 1915.1 He died on 21 February 1952 at age 60.2
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.2 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet King, of Bellevue, co. Kent [G.B., 1792] on 13 February 1909.1 He was educated at Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.2 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1918, where he was wounded.2 He gained the rank of Major in the Grenadier Guards.2 He fought in the Second World War between 1940 and 1945.2
