Gerald Rowland Clegg-Hill, 7th Viscount Hill of Hawkestone and of Hardwicke was born on 31 March 1904.1 He was the son of Charles Rowland Clegg-Hill, 6th Viscount Hill of Hawkestone and of Hardwicke and Mildred Bulteel.2 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Flora Smyth-Osbourne, daughter of Brig.-Gen. George Nowell Thomas Smyth-Osbourne and Gladys Marguerite Porter, on 7 October 1930.1 He and Elizabeth Flora Smyth-Osbourne were divorced in 1942.1 He married, secondly, Catherine Mary Lloyd-Williams, daughter of Dr. Rowland Venables Lloyd-Williams, on 30 November 1942.1 He died on 4 May 1974 at age 70.1
He was educated at Shrewsbury School, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Welch Fusiliers.1 He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Hill [G.B., 1727] on 3 May 1957.1 He succeeded as the 7th Viscount Hill of Hawkestone and of Hardwicke, co. Salop. [U.K., 1842] on 3 May 1957.1 He succeeded as the 7th Baron Hill of Almarez and of Hardwicke, co. Salop. [U.K., 1816] on 3 May 1957.1

Brig.-Gen. George Nowell Thomas Smyth-Osbourne1

Brig.-Gen. George Nowell Thomas Smyth-Osbourne was born in 1877 at Stapleton, Gloucestershire, England.2 He was the son of John Smyth Smyth-Osbourne and Eliza Cotton Prior.2 He married Gladys Marguerite Porter, daughter of Sir Leslie Porter.3 He died in 1942 at Okehampton, Devon, England.2
He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1 He fought in the First World War.2 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1915.1 He fought in the Russian Civil War in 1919, where he was mentioned in despatches.2 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1919.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1919.1 He lived at Ash, Iddesleigh, Devon, England.1

Anthony Rowland Clegg-Hill, 8th Viscount Hill of Hawkestone and of Hardwicke was born on 19 March 1931.1 He was the son of Gerald Rowland Clegg-Hill, 7th Viscount Hill of Hawkestone and of Hardwicke and Elizabeth Flora Smyth-Osbourne.2 He married, firstly, Juanita Phyllis Pertwee, daughter of John W. Pertwee, on 10 August 1963.1 He and Juanita Phyllis Pertwee were divorced in 1976.1 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Harriet Offer, daughter of Ronald L. Offer, in 1989.1 He died before 17 March 2003, without issue.1
He was educated at Kelly College, Tavistock, Devon, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Artillery.1 He succeeded as the 10th Baronet Hill [G.B., 1727] on 5 May 1974.1 He succeeded as the 8th Baron Hill of Almarez and of Hardwicke, co. Juanita Phyllis Pertwee is the daughter of John W. Pertwee.2 She married Anthony Rowland Clegg-Hill, 8th Viscount Hill of Hawkestone and of Hardwicke, son of Gerald Rowland Clegg-Hill, 7th Viscount Hill of Hawkestone and of Hardwicke and Elizabeth Flora Smyth-Osbourne, on 10 August 1963.1 She and Anthony Rowland Clegg-Hill, 8th Viscount Hill of Hawkestone and of Hardwicke were divorced in 1976.1
From 10 August 1963, her married name became Clegg-Hill. After her marriage, Juanita Phyllis Pertwee was styled as Viscountess Hill of Hawkestone and of Hardwicke on 5 May 1974.

Hon. Frederic Raymond Clegg-Hill was born on 10 August 1909.1 He was the son of Charles Rowland Clegg-Hill, 6th Viscount Hill of Hawkestone and of Hardwicke and Mildred Bulteel.2 He married Alice Dorothy Chapman, daughter of Rear-Admiral Cuthbert Godfrey Chapman and Hon. Dorothy Beatrix Wynn, on 18 November 1938.1 He died on 13 April 1945 at age 35 at Germany, killed in action.1
He gained the rank of officer between 1938 and 1944 in the 1st Battalion, North Rhodesian Regiment.1 He fought in the Second World War, and was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Major in the King's Shropshire Light Infantry.1
