Charles Gore Hay, 20th Earl of Erroll was born on 7 February 1852.1 He was the son of Major William Harry Hay, 19th Earl of Erroll and Eliza Amelia Gore.1 He married Mary Caroline L'Estrange, daughter of Edmund L'Estrange and Lady Henrietta Susan Beresford Lumley, on 11 August 1875.1 He died on 8 July 1927 at age 75.1

Victor Alexander Sereld Hay, 21st Earl of Erroll was born on 17 October 1876.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Charles Gore Hay, 20th Earl of Erroll and Mary Caroline L'Estrange.1 He married Mary Lucy Victoria Mackenzie, daughter of Sir Allan Russell Mackenzie of Glenmuick, 2nd Bt. and Lucy Eleanora Davidson, on 22 May 1900.1 He died on 20 February 1928 at age 51.1

Charles Gore Hay, 20th Earl of Erroll and Mary Caroline L'Estrange, on 22 May 1900.1 She died on 18 January 1957.1
Mary Lucy Victoria Mackenzie usually went by her middle name of Lucy.3 Her married name became Hay. After her marriage, Mary Lucy Victoria Mackenzie was styled as Countess of Erroll on 8 July 1927.
