Major Thomas Steuart Fothringham1

Major Thomas Steuart Fothringham was born on 5 April 1907.2 He was the son of Walter Thomas James Scrymsoure Steuart Fothringham and Elizabeth Isabel Nicholson. He married Carola Mary Noel, daughter of Major Hon. Charles Hubert Francis Noel and May Dick, on 21 April 1936.1 He died on 9 September 1979 at age 72.2
He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1 He gained the rank of Major in the Black Watch.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 He was educated at Wellington College, Berkshire, England. He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1932 with a Master of Arts (M.A.) He lived at Fothringham, Forfar, Angus, ScotlandG.1
