William Malcolm Bell Macdonald, 4th of Rammerscales1

William Malcolm Bell Macdonald, 4th of Rammerscales was born on 20 June 1884.1 He was the son of Major William Bell Macdonald, 3rd of Rammerscales and Violet Frances Rutherford.2 He married Nora Millicent Hebden, daughter of Edward Field Hebden, on 18 January 1913.1 He died on 26 March 1955 at age 70.1
He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, England.1 He graduated from McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada, with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society of Arts (F.R.S.A.)1 He fought in the First World War between 1915 and 1919, with Canadian Engineers.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Dumfriesshire.1

Alan Malcolm Bell Macdonald, 5th of Rammerscales was born on 31 March 1914.1 He was the son of William Malcolm Bell Macdonald, 4th of Rammerscales and Nora Millicent Hebden.2 He married, firstly, Frances Mary Hudson, daughter of Reverend Arthur Reginald Hudson and Mary Frances Birch, on 28 October 1939.1 He and Frances Mary Hudson were divorced.1 He married, secondly, Rhoda Mary Adair Thunder, daughter of Colonel Julian Thunder, on 26 June 1954.3 He died before 28 November 2009.3
He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, England.1 He graduated from Clare College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was a practising solicitor.1 He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1945, in Royal Air Force.1 He was with the JAG's Department between 1945 and 1947.1 He was recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Court on 25 September 1973.1
