Elliot Macnaghten was born on 13 January 1837.1 He was the son of Elliot MacNaghten and Isabella Law.2 He married Jane Maria Vibart, daughter of Thomas Gowan Vibart and Jane Russell Macnaghten, on 10 September 1859.1 He died on 18 March 1875 at age 38.1
He was with the Indian Civil Service.1 He was a practising barrister.1

Jane Maria Vibart was the daughter of Thomas Gowan Vibart and Jane Russell Macnaghten.2 She married Elliot Macnaghten, son of Elliot MacNaghten and Isabella Law, on 10 September 1859.1 She died on 27 January 1891.1
From 10 September 1859, her married name became Macnaghten.
