James Hugh Myles Borwick, 4th Baron Borwick was born on 12 December 1917.1 He was the son of Robert Geoffrey Borwick, 3rd Baron Borwick and Irene Phyllis Patterson.1 He married Hyllarie Adalia Mary Johnston, daughter of Lt.-Col. William Hamilton Hall Johnston and Hyllarie Mabel Williams, on 14 September 1954.1 He died on 19 April 2007 at age 89.2
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was wounded.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Highland Light Infantry.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1944.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baron Borwick, of Hawkshead, co. Lancaster [U.K., 1922] on 30 January 1961.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Borwick, of Hawkshead, co. Lancaster [U.K., 1916] on 30 January 1961.1 He lived in 2003 at Leys Farm, Bircher, Leominster, Herefordshire, EnglandG.1
