Sir Hugh Denis Crofton, 5th Bt. was born on 11 November 1878.1 He was the son of Captain Edward Hugh Crofton and Isabel Annie Julia Miller.1 He died on 4 February 1902 at age 23, unmarried.1
He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Roscommon.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Leitrim.1 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Crofton, of Mohill Caslte, co. Leitrim [U.K., 1801] on 26 February 1900.1

Sir Morgan George Crofton, 6th Bt. was born on 27 November 1879.2 He was the son of Captain Edward Hugh Crofton and Isabel Annie Julia Miller.2 He married, firstly, Francis Margaret Irby, daughter of Lt.-Col. Leonard Howard Loyd Irby and Mary Brandling, on 12 December 1905.1 He and Francis Margaret Irby were divorced in 1910.1 He married, secondly, Adèle Violet Blanche Donaldson, daughter of Sir George Donaldson, on 19 November 1919.2 He married, thirdly, Margaret Amelia Dallett, daughter of Morris Dallett, on 20 June 1933.2 He died on 8 December 1958 at age 79.2
He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Irish Guards.2 He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902, where he was severely wounded.2 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Crofton, of Mohill Caslte, co. Leitrim [U.K., 1801] on 4 February 1902.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Leitrim.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Hampshire.2 He fought in the First World War, in France, Italy and East Africa, and was mentioned in despatches twice.2 He was Provost Marshal of the East African Expeditionary Force.2 He was with the HQ staff of General Smuts in 1917.2 He gained the rank of Major in 1918 in the Guards Machine Gun Regiment.2 He was awarded the Order of Leopold of Belgium.2 He was awarded the Chevalier, Ordre national de la Légion d'honneur.2 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1918.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 2nd Life Guards.2 He was Colonel Commandant of the Staff of the Military Advisor to Northern Ireland in 1922.2 He held the office of Member of the Hampshire County Council between 1922 and 1931.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of Hampshire in 1925.2

Francis Margaret Irby was born on 1 December 1884.1 She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Leonard Howard Loyd Irby and Mary Brandling.1 She married, firstly, Lt.-Col. Sir Morgan George Crofton, 6th Bt., son of Captain Edward Hugh Crofton and Isabel Annie Julia Miller, on 12 December 1905.1 She and Lt.-Col. Sir Morgan George Crofton, 6th Bt. were divorced in 1910.1 She married, secondly, James Fountayne Montagu, son of James Wilson Montagu and Laura Adeline Thellusson, on 22 October 1910.1 She and James Fountayne Montagu were divorced in 1921.1 She married, thirdly, John Wodehouse, 3rd Earl of Kimberley, son of John Wodehouse, 2nd Earl of Kimberley and Isabel Geraldine Stracey, on 5 May 1922.1 She died on 4 January 1950 at age 65.1
From 12 December 1905, her married name became Crofton. From 22 October 1910, her married name became Montagu. From 5 May 1922, her married name became Wodehouse. After her marriage, Francis Margaret Irby was styled as Countess of Kimberley on 7 January 1932.

Lt.-Col. Leonard Howard Loyd Irby was born on 13 April 1836.2 He was the son of Rear-Admiral Hon. Frederick Paul Irby and Frances Wright.1 He married, firstly, Geraldine Alicia Mary Magenis, daughter of Reverend John Balfour Magenis, on 31 August 1864.1 He married, secondly, Mary Brandling, daughter of Colonel John James Brandling, on 22 January 1884.3 He died on 14 May 1905 at age 69.1,2
He fought in the Crimean War.2 He fought in the Indian Mutiny in 1857.2 He fought in the Siege of Lucknow, in the relief force. He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 7th Regiment.2
