John Capel Hanbury was born on 14 May 1853.1 He was the son of Capel Hanbury-Leigh and Emma Elizabeth Rous.2 He married Louisa Charlotte Eagar, daughter of Colonel Edward Hungerford Eagar and Elizabeth Kelly, in 1885 at St. George Hanove Square, London, England.1,3 He died on 8 May 1921 at age 67.1
