Sir Matthew William Thompson, 3rd Bt.1

Sir Matthew William Thompson, 3rd Bt. was born on 28 June 1872.1 He was the son of Rev. Sir Peile Thompson, 2nd Bt. and Jessie Clare Beaumont.2 He married Harriet Kathleen Hamilton-Grace, daughter of Colonel Sheffield Hamilton-Grace and Anne Smijth-Windham, on 3 November 1909.1 He died on 25 November 1956 at age 84, without issue.1
He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.1 He was an artist.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Thompson, of Park Gate, Guiseley, co. York [U.K., 1890] on 8 April 1918.1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society of Arts (F.R.S.A.)1

Sir Peile Beaumont Thompson, 4th Bt. was born on 4 February 1874.1 He is the son of Rev. Sir Peile Thompson, 2nd Bt. and Jessie Clare Beaumont.2 He married Stella Harris, daughter of Arthur Harris, on 8 October 1908.1 He died on 8 August 1972 at age 98.1
He was educated at Sedbergh School, Sedbergh, Cumbria, England.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was a market gardner at Guernsey, Chanel Islands.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Thompson, of Park Gate, Guiseley, co. York [U.K., 1890] on 25 November 1956.1

Sir Peile Thompson, 5th Bt. was born on 28 February 1911.1 He was the son of Sir Peile Beaumont Thompson, 4th Bt. and Stella Harris.2 He married Barbara Johnson Rampling, daughter of Horace Johnson Rampling, on 28 July 1937.1 He died in 1985.1
He was educated at Canford School, Wimborne, Dorset, England.1 He graduated from St. Catharine's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1933 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Manchester Regiment.1 He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1950.1 He gained the rank of commander in the 26th Battalion, King's African Rifles.1 He fought in the Kenyan Emergency in 1955, where he was mentioned in dispatches.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1959.1 He graduated from St. Catharine's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1959 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Thompson, of Park Gate, Guiseley, co.
